Nostalgic already. Movies. This time last year.

Yesterday was my last day of class, possibly ever. I'm thrilled, but also a little sad. I've been in school for two decades and on December 22, my academic career will officially be over. As of now, I still have a paper, an exam, and a couple of short papers (3 pps.) to write. I hope to God I get a decent job within a couple months of graduating, because without school and without a job, I'm just a bum, and I'm going to be very not okay with going to law school to become a bum.

Tonight, I'm seeing a free advanced screening of Chronicles of Narnia. There are a ton of movies I want to see: Rent, Chronicles of Narnia, Aeon Flux, Pride and Prejudice. As for Aeon Flux, couldn't they have picked someone who looks more like her than Charlize Theron. She's sexy and a great actress, but Mila Jovanavich or Kiera Knightley look much more like Aeon Flux. Or even an unknown may have been more effective. Us grown up Gen X'ers who used to watch Aeon Flux on MTV know who she is and would see it w/o production spending a ton of money billing Charlize Theron. But, I haven't seen it yet, so I reserve the right to change my mind.

This time last year...
- I smoked half a pack a day.
- The house smelled like the art teacher's office.
- I paid the entire rent and all the bills for the nth consecutive month, squandering hard earned and borrowed money away on someone I used to trust.
- Car trouble was my hobby.
- I wished it was this time this year.

  • Good luck on exams, C. For what it's worth, I can't wait to be at the other end of law school...
