Conversation with Dad

I spoke with my father this afternoon. He's fine with me living with Christian whereas I thought he would be offended that I didn't want to live at home. I told him I should've listened to him regarding Mike, but I learned an important lesson on my own. He understood and said that some people aren't bad people or I wouldn't be with them, but their values are too different. He also said it's not that family isn't important - it is, but everyone should do what makes them happy. I couldn't agree more. For the first time maybe ever we see eye to eye. It took me growing up, and him mellowing out.

Family is the bottom line, believe it or not. We are either content with the lessons God gives us with our family of origin and/ or we seek out individuals who will drive home the points needed in our lives this time around..

  • I'm happy you're father is finally seeing you as more of an adult and not just his little girl. I'm also happy I will NOT have to drive all the way to your father's house!!

(Keep driving until someone in the car says "Where the f*** are we?" then you want to make a right. And it's right next to the "Chicken Coast" bar!! LOL)

  • if it wasn't for the "chicken coast" bar, i would never have gotten to my dad's house... "go down a dirt road, look for a tall tree, and it can't be more than thirty miles" just doesn't work for me.
